The Australian National Centre for Audit and Assurance Research (ANCAAR) fosters, develops and disseminates research in auditing and assurance that is of significance to policy makers, practitioners and users.

The Centre also provides briefings and training seminars for practitioners and regulators in Australia, Oceania and Asia.

2014-15 Summer Research Scholars

ANCAAR hosted the RSABIS 2014-15 Summer Research Scholars working on (PDF, 341KB) the ANCAAR Audit Quality Project (Auditor Transparency Reports): Kay Rui Shong, Wen Jing Yap and Junyoung Jung (JPG, 86KB) . Their Report is available for download.

12th Annual ANCAAR Audit Research Forum

5-6 December, 2014 The 12thANCAAR Forum was attended by around 50 people over 2 days, and featured work by PhD, emerging and senior scholars.

Presentation to Indonesian Audit Office

ANCAAR member Greg Shailer presented an invited seminar for the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan Ri). The seminar, titled "The Role of Auditors for Improving Process Quality Control in Developing Quality Audit", was held at the CPC Training Center, Jakarta, 13 August 2014 and was attended by approximately 250 government auditors from across Indonesia. The seminar  was organised by the BPK in conjunction with CPA Australia.
